Amy has been speaking at small groups and women’s events for more than eight years now. Although she is professionally trained, she credits her ability to capture the audience with simply being blessed by God with a gift. In her own words, “I can’t type and talk at the same time so this must be something given to me by God!”
She really can’t type and talk at the same time, seriously.
Well, for whatever the reason may be, you have landed on this page about Amy’s speaking topics. So, you should go ahead and just schedule her for your next event because you want to be inspired, renewed and transformed! Don’t you?
These topics are just a representation of Amy’s most popular messages. If you would like to have a message customized to the theme of your women’s event, please don’t hesitate to ask. Email all inquiries to: inquiry@amybayliss.com
Girlfriends: Thriving Past the Superficial
If you’ve ever found yourself with more guy friends than girls; keeping girlfriends at a distance; or consistently hurt by women you have become close to then maybe you should tune in. Amy will tackle this subject head on; she’s going straight to the heart.
You see Amy knows what is like to be betrayed by women you trust and she has struggled to maintain friendships with other women. After so many years of hurt she simply was no longer interested in having girlfriends. God had to intervene in her life and give her a new foundation from which friendships can be born.
With the principles Amy delivers, we will get to the root of your inability to connect with, trust, and have deep relationships with other women of faith. We will address the biblical way to overcome it and even thrive in your relationships with your girlfriends. You will also receive a compilation of ideas to help grow and celebrate your friendships!

This is a cooking class with biblical metaphors thrown in to teach about our relationship with our Lord and Savior while teaching women how to save time and money in the kitchen. You’ll be surprised to learn what fruit and efficiency have to do with our walk with Christ. Join me for tips and revelation and I can’t guarantee that the tears will always be from the onions! This class is better suited for small, at home groups.
The Disconnected Parent – Reconnecting With Your Child
Do you feel disconnected from your child(ren)? Do you know that your love for them exists but you are unable to express it? I know how that feels. Nearly 7 years ago my, then 2 years old, son nearly died. He accidentally hung himself on a swing set. God miraculously brought him back to us but something died in me that day. I began to push him away out of fear of losing him again. Our bond was broken.
We hear many similar stories from parents across the world. It happens when children are born premature; when a woman suffers through numerous miscarriages and then finally gives birth; when a child is diagnosed with an incurable disease; when a woman is so severely abused that she fears loving anyone else.
God wants to free you. In some of my darkest hours He revealed truths to me that have resurrected the love that I desired for my son and I to share. Our bond has been restored. My heart is healing. I’d love to share these truths with you. Your children deserve it and so do you.
The Heart of the Matter
What God is nudging Amy to “proclaim” is that we, the parents, are our children’s primary teachers. It is our biblical duty to “train them up in the way they should go” and that isn’t just for those of us who keep our kids home and teach them the educational basics.
It is the responsibility of all parents whether our children are in public, private, charter, co-op, or home schools. We are still their primary teacher; but many parents in this day and age have become lazy with that responsibility. That is why it must change now.
Parents should be excited about teaching kids to cook, plant a garden, read a story, and most importantly learn about our Lord and Savior. THAT is homeschooling. Every parent becomes a homeschooler the day their child is born. You teach them to coo and ga, how to sit up, how to walk, what to eat, how to dress, and so on.
Our mandate is given in Exodus 18:20. God wants us to teach our children His principles, His thoughts on family, His plan for our future. Those are His mandates that must be taught at home. Every parent is a teacher. Let Amy show you how. This is not a homeschooling message but a parenting message.
Homeschool Specific Topics:
Homeschooling For Beginners
We may not all be called to homeschool but we are all called to be 100% responsible for our children’s education. In this session Amy will discuss the ins and outs as well as many of the myths that have plagued this life changing pursuit we call homeschooling. If you are new to this endeavor or on the fence about it then you will want to hear this message.
Simplify Your Homeschool
Homeschooling is like a whole other life in and of itself, isn’t it? Different plans, different schedules, different rooms and organization. Then, you still have to live the wife and housekeeper role but how? If only there was a way to contain it all! Hmmph. There is…
In this session Amy discusses some of her secrets to organizing space, time, chores, and subjects that will decrease the amount of time you spend working and increase the amount of time spent with your family. There is a way and it is simple! This is a tried and true method that contains practical advice and biblical encouragement.
Stirring Up the Gift Within Them While God is Stirring Up the Gift Within You
We all know that stirring up the gift within our children is not only a biblical mandate but a heartfelt desire for most all parents but how do you inspire then to use their gifts and still find the time to nurture your own? Amy has been “living the dream” as a reality. As a speaker, the co-owner of such sites as Heart of the Matter Online, A Woman Inspired and Internet Cafe Devotions, cover girl for CWO magazine in August 2008, featured on Inside Out christian television program, and a published writer, she knows what it means to balance the gifts that flow through one household.
She has an aspiring scientist, a budding artist, and one drama king on her hands and she encourages them all. The underlying premise here is that even if she reaches thousands of women for Christ but neglects her own children then she has accomplished nothing. There is a way. Learn how in this session.
What others are saying about Amy:
What she had to say really applied to me. I too had a problem with being friends with other women because I didn’t feel I could trust them. It was much easier to be friends with men because they were just who they were…. they wouldn’t stab me in the back. Even after I became a Christian, I had a hard time connecting with other women of faith who should have been easy to connect with. At least it seemed like I should have been. If Amy could be so forgiving towards someone who displayed the ultimate betrayal, I can reach out to women and show love towards women who have hurt me too.
Amy’s military story and the revelation was very special to me and served a purpose through a two-fold message. My son also serves and as a writer I have read many stories and I immediately identified with her conversation with her brother. I am able to take this scenario to my prayer partner as we are both leaders in our women’s ministry at church and are currently undertaking brining both of our ministries together as one within the same community..Yes…a great leap of faith!!! However, there are many sins that our brothers/sisters in Christ are committing and “church-hopping” for lack of a better word. Rather than point fingers, we will begin to rebuke the devil!
