My craft of choice is scrapbooking and while I do have a handy dandy room and awesome space to keep my supplies in, I am still drawn to watching TV while creating my personal masterpieces. I mean who really wants to be away from the TV when we are eagerly awaiting the “Sorry but you are not the biggest loser” to be said to Vicki and Heba (oh, don’t get me started)? Or how about the fact that the miniature killer is back on CSI? Let’s not forget that the new season of Top Chef started and golly gee but this is the absolute first time I have not picked the winner from the interviews. They sent my girl home. Can you believe I was wrong? Anyway, the problem is that I don’t have a TV in said scrap space so my friend Kelli gave me a solution during the Heart of the Matter Online Conference.
She told us all about her favorite TV addictions and how she scraps while she is watching them. What she does is get page elements and papers together with the appropriate photos and then adds her most used tools to the tray and she just packs it up and takes it with her. This TV tray is the perfect fit for that. It has an edge so it keeps all of my materials on the tray and is easy to clean. I also like that it can lay flat or the legs can be pulled out so that it rests comfortably over my lap. It is very handy! This could easily work for other crafts as well.
What do you think?

I can’t mutlitask like that. I don’t tolerate background noise or clutter very well so I’m doing good to be able to scrapbook in my room if it’s even slightly messy and I can only tolerate radio or iPod music for a little while and then I even have to turn it off (LOL). I thought you were going to say you picked your stuff up and took it with you to an outside crop or something.
My friend and I went to a scrapbooking convention in Seattle a few weekends ago! That was a blast!
You have introduced me to Kelli Crowe & I'm a newbie scrapbooking LOVE
Vicky and Heba- I think they need them some Jesus!!
Another great idea my friend!! You’re just so full of them!!!
Blessings,
Jen
PS…I can’t wait for Vicky and Heba to be off too!!!
I do this as well as put some pages (8.5×11) in a ziplock bag with the photos, scissors and photo mounting squares. Then I can work on them while I wait. In most cases I have some afternoons at work when I just need to answer the phone. I get quite a bit done sometimes.
Awesomeness! I kinda enjoy tinkerin’ around with my photos online while my hubby is watchin’ his favorite channel, which is SCAN.
Did you know you can scrapbook online and then have the pages printed? That’s what I’m startin’ to do, because I’m way too much of a “messy” to keep the supplies and stuff organized. I got enough clutter around anyway.
Admire what you’re doin’ though. My girls would love it!
What a fabulous idea!!!! This is my dilemma as well…not so much the tv, but being in another room when the family is hanging out in the living room…kwim?
Thanks for the idea!!! I’ll have to get me one of those!
