Epicurious is one of my most favorite sites. There is always something fabulous happening there. Today I found some festive and very inexpensive ideas for the Thanksgiving table. They used everyday household and pantry items such as beans, rice, lentils, and cinnamon sticks and placed them in containers that you can find right in your cupboard. We all have candles just laying around so toss one of those in the center of the new fall happiness and you are set!
In the same article you will find ideas for dressing up place cards (so, so cute!) and napkin rings. I cannot imagine anyone table being bland after implementing their ideas.

I totally wish I’d thought of it. :)

woman on a mission – That is one of my favorites too. I picked up a bag full of cinnamon sticks at a thrift store for a quarter and they are still fresh! I can’t wait to use them!

Karin – I can’t keep up with me but I’m finally listening to God and doing away with what I thought was best and doing what He says really is best. ;)

  2. What an awesome post. I am going to have to come back when I have time to look around. And can I say that I cannot keep up with all your blogs and blog design changes? You are making me jealous. I want to change up now—but now you don’t do blogs anymore—-boo hoo

  3. I love the cinnamon candle idea. I’m going to try that. Thanks for the post.
