7 Things To Do With Hand Lotion

I love my lotion. I especially like Bath and Body Works lotion. I have so many bottles of it because I just love the way it smells. Mmmm!

Needless to say I have searched and found some great things that I can do with my lotion – besides use it on my hands.

If you have any to add then please do!

  1. Say goodbye to the frizzies! I live in the south and humidity will bring on a bad hair day in no time flat. To tame the frizz you can apply some lotion to your fingertips and simply scrunch your fingers through your hair. This works great when on the go because you can take one product that has many uses verses several with only one use.
  2. Shave. Most of the women’s shave cream is now just that… cream. If you run out of the foaming stuff then your lotion is a great substitute and your legs will definitely be silky smooth when you are done!
  3. Tame the static. Occasionally, something I wear will come out stinging with static electricity. I just rub a bit of my lotion on my hands and then brush it over the article of clothing and instantly the static is gone.
  4. Detangle. Fill an empty spray bottle 3/4 full with water and then add 1 tsp of lotion and shake. Spray into hair to use as you would any other detangler.
  5. Silky Sheets. After I wash and dry our sheets and place them back on the bed, I rub a bit of lotion onto my hands and then brush it over the sheets ever so gently. I especially like to use the soothing scents like lavender, chamomile, and sandalwood.
  6. Keep your hands and toesies soft and moisturized. After I give my hands a feet a good cleaning, buff, and manicure, I like to apply some lotion to them and then slip on my socks or gloves and let it sink in. When I remove the socks and gloves I rinse the lotion off and pat dry. I wash the gloves and socks till the next time I use them.
  7. Shine your shoes. When you need a quick shine but don’t have shoe polish, simply use a bit of lotion! It works wonders.

  2. This is an awesome list! Have of this stuff I’ve thought of doing but never knew if it would be good. Like the shaving your legs bit. I always thought that it would be too thick or greasy for the razor. Don’t know why. Thanks for sharing!

Amy, I’m in Mississippi, so the #1 tip really was my fave! I’m gonna be one de-frizzed magnolia (cherry-blossom scent for me) when the humidity “flares up” again. Thanks for these awesome tips!

  4. These are great ideas that I had never thought of, before. Good for you. Thanks.
