I met Susan (Forever His) online a almost two years ago. We began communicating by email and a friendship just blossomed. I learned of her amazing son Jordan and his steady victory over the symptoms of his brain tumor. She would bless me with tickets to Mercy Me Concerts which would end up being a life cleansing and restoring event for me and I helped her with her blog design and maintenance. We both have a love for scrapbooking and, of course, our Lord.
We’ve been planning a get together for a while but it seems floods, hurricanes, and numerous other things always changed our plans. Finally, two weeks ago, on a Saturday, we got to have lunch with them at Susan and Rick’s home (which is beautiful btw).
Jordan was there and so was one of her precious little grandbabies. We had a fabulous lunch:
roast with rice and gravy, corn on the ob, bread and cookies and king cake for desert. YUM-O!
After lunch the boys went for ride in the golf cart with Jordan and Susan and I looked through scrapbooks and chatted the evening away. We finally left so they could get to Saturday service at church.
I love my bloggy friends – epecially the ones who become irl (in real life) friends!
Have you met any of your bloggy friends?

I too got to me two of the women that I blog with, back in January. Above is where I wrote about these two precious women that have touched my life.
Lovingly,
Yolanda
Hi Amy,
I think it’s so neat that you and Susan were able to meet. I know the Lord crossed your paths on purpose.
How wonderful. You both seem like very sweet people, and I couldn’t be happier that you met irl!
Holykisses,
Lea
How cool, Amy! I haven’t met any bloggy friends yet, but am looking forward to it! Isn’t it wonderful how God blesses us with these online friendships? And, it seems so strange to “know” people so well without even meeting them!
I look forward to meeting you some day as well!
Blessings!
Popped over here from Susan’s. Wonderful story, wonderful friends. You’re blessed to live so close to one another!
Blessings,
e-Mom @ Chrysalis :~D
I’m so glad that you had a great time with Susan. Yummers on the meal! I haven’t met any of my blogging friends IRL yet but soon I plan to meet up with Jennifer (Storms of Life), Laurie (Women Taking a Stand) and one of their friends for lunch. Dawn at Whispers of the Morning lives near me and we should kick ourselves for not getting together for lunch sometime.
Okay, now I’m jealous. I’d love to have lunch with either one or BOTH of you guys. I’m sure the conversation would be interesting.
Amy, you surprised me!!! I’m so glad Lisa mentioned this to me.
Oh, what a joy it was to spend that day with you and your family.
Hey, if you feel like helping me out again, go see what I did.
As you know, I’ve got a lot to learn!
Love you?
I am not sure how I can come upon your blog but it’s at the right moment! I absolutely LOVE Susan! She told me not long ago that we share a Birthday (Feb. 9th) and she is definitely someone I would LOVE to meet. I’m so glad you two had a chance to. What a blessing and it’s encouraging to me as I’ve not yet met any of my sisters from blog land and would love to.
I enjoyed your message Amy and it looks like everyone had a great visit. The menu sounds great!!
Bless you.
