Here is a video that our local news put out. In it you will see our pastor, Dino Rizzo, and you will also see Josh Ferrara who you might recognize as our team leader from this post. Well, Josh or Bob (whichever you prefer) is also the son of one of my dear friends, Darnelle Ferrara. Yes, that is the same Darnelle from Internet Cafe Devotions and Heart of the Matter Online. Isn’t it so awesome to see the pieces connect? My pastor has put the vision of serving that God gave him into the pages of a book that is appropriately titled: Servolution. I am going to give away one copy of that book. All you have to do is leave me a comment and tell me why you want it. That’s it. I’ll close comments on Thursday, April 16 and announce the winner that Friday.
A community project by Healing Place Church is called “Servolution.”

Amy, wow! It is so great to “meet” you and I live less than an hour away from you!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am about that! I’ve even visited your church for a women’s retreat las year and I loved it! I’ve heard of servolution and my husband and I have been trying to get our church on board with it as well! We think it is absolutely AWESOME!! We’re starting a group for troubled teens in our home and we have such a heart to see our community reached with the love of Jesus! And God demonstrated the full extent of his love for us when he SERVED his disciples by washing their feet!!
I’m a new blogger, but I’m doing it because God put it on my heart and I desire to bring HIM glory!
I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts At The Well and I’m so glad I visited your blog today!
Love,
Joye
Hello Amy,
Watching an act of God unfold before your very eyes is one of the most incredible experiences I can think of. There is one happening in front of me and I stay so excited and pumped up, even though it seems like I stay in constant spiritual warfare.
I would love to have a copy of this book. I started teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls Sunday School a little over two months ago. I explained to them during the first class about my ministry and where I feel God is leading me. I invited them to seek God where He may be leading them and to let me know if they would like to connect in some sort of way. Two Sundays ago, one of my students approached me after morning service and asked me if I still wanted some connection. Seriously, I nearly fell off the pew I was sitting on. Long story short, two girls have started Christian teenage blogs. One of them is leading a Bible Study on Wednesday mornings at their public school and they are encouraging prayer partners. This book would greatly enhance the ministry that has begun in that class.
Thank you for considering us!!!!
Love ya, Amy….you are remaining on Tracy and I’s prayer list!!
