TADA! A few of my favorite things…

This week I decided to take a photo of a few of my favorite things.

This would be the ring that my husband gave me when he proposed. I wanted an alternative to the diamond engagement ring due to personal convictions and so the mere fact that he took all of my ramblings into consideration when purchasing this just made my heart flutter.

This is my favorite little box. My sister and I have used it for years to give each other gifts for Christmas, birthdays, and sometimes for no reason at all. It is so much fun to get this box back from her not knowing what could possibly be inside. I also love the thrill of the hunt when looking for just the right gift for her. Over the years this box has held day at the spa tickets, a beautiful bracelet from Things Remembered, gift cards for coffee, necklaces, lotion, stuff from my favorite place,and lots more that I just cannot think of right now.

This would be my to-do-list; my brain if you will. I have a household planner where I keep everything that I could possibly need for day to day use or emergency. I have to. How else could I possibly do, or remember to do, all of the stuff that I have going on? I have even struggled with finding a good balance with it but like everything else I’m trusting God to help me with that. He does and on most days I know when to wing it and when to be stern and use it full force.

Oh help me! This is my absolute most favorite product ever… scented hand and body lotion. I must have twenty bottles of this stuff laying around. I use it constantly and then I make my poor uninterested family smell my hands as though all of these boys would enjoy it as much as I do. Come to think of it, maybe that is why I like it so much. It is just about the only girly thing in this house full of testosterone.

Tea is so delish. I like it before bed, in the morning, cold, hot, sweet, and unsweet.  Most any kind will do but I have my faves. I love making ginger green tea. For two quarts I use 2 ginger tea bags and 4-6 green tea bags. I let it steep then add 1/2 cup organic sugar. Add some cold water and pour it over ice and yum… healthy and delicious addition to any meal!

OH my lovely, dirty keyboard. How can one get all of that dust out of there? Please tell me. Spray air doesn’t work. A wet rag doesn’t work. I refuse to put it in the dishwasher like some people suggest. Anyway, with this keyboard I make my voice heard – or uh, read. It is relief to my brain. Some people talk it out. I type it out. Will you buy one of my books some day?

My good ol’ Chucks. They are like fine wine, the more aged they are the better. I’ll tell you, there is nothing like a good pair of Chuck Taylor’s and these are my favorites. They are hip and cool but still girly. Yes, I’m a 34 year old woman who wears Chucks. You got a problem with that? Good.
