Her children rise and call her blessed…
Proverbs 31:18
Carsten gave his life to the Lord almost three years ago. He was asking some pretty heavy duty questions about God and after our conversation he asked if we could pray. He received salvation that night and began praying and developing a relationship with the Lord almost immediately.
Maxon was going through some pretty rough emotional times and as I held him and prayed with him one night two years ago, he told me that he wanted to belong to Jesus. We prayed and God has been doing an amazing work in his life ever since.
Just three weeks ago my baby, Andrew, got up in the middle of the night and came to me. Now this is not unusual for Andrew. The kid hates to sleep and so after we turn off the TV and CD player he will usually read his bible just so he can stay awake. His midnight questions and scripture recitation have been a normal part of life here in the Bayliss household so I expected that night three weeks ago to be no different but, it was.
Andrew came to me with the bible in hand and said, “Mom. How do I know if I am going to heaven?” I explained to him what the bible says about salvation and he said, pretty bluntly I might add, “okay then why aren’t you praying with me yet?” I giggled and was beaming with excitement as I took him by the hand and brought him into our bedroom so Ryan could pray with us too. It was just as beautiful as the day Maxon gave his life to the Lord; and that was just as beautiful as the day Carsten gave his life to the Lord.
I must say though that today had a very special meaning for me since all three of my sons were baptized together. They went through their classes, put on their smiles, and happily jumped into the pool. Carsten quickly sunk to the bottom and I thought Pastor Dino might pass out at that point but they both made it! Carsten is an excellent swimmer but Pastor Dino, who is our lead pastor, just propped him on his arm at that point to keep him afloat.
Pastor Mike Haman officiated our wedding when Ryan and I got married and today he baptized Maxon. Pastor Steve Ware is the residing pastor of the campus where we attend services and he baptized Andrew. Pastor Johnny Green introduced them and said the prayer.
Today was a great day!
Congratulations Carsten, Maxon, and Andrew!!!

Oh Amy…I'm sitting here bawling and they're not even MY kids!!! LOL! How WONDERFUL!!! I think all Christian mothers pray for their children to be saved, but how awesome to see ALL of your babies be baptized at the same time.
