Wow. It is a rare occasion that I am at a loss for words. I mean I have a rather large vocabulary and yet all I can think to say is wow when I reflect back on the weekend that just passed.
She Speaks is likely the most informative, encouraging, uplifting, and Christ-centered conference that I have ever attended. I learned so much more than just how to be a good writer and win over publishers and agents – which I hope that I have done and it’s looking really good for moi but only time shall tell. The most profound lesson that I learned that no matter how we use our voice – speaking, blogging, writing, tweeting… whatever way we choose should be for the glory of our Father; even if no one else listens. We speak for an audience of one.
I also finally got to meet many of my bloggy girlfriends. I had so much fun with these ladies. I have made some friends for life. And forgive me but for fear of leaving anyone out… I will not list them all but I will let you in on a few snippets of my weekend with my girlfriends.
Dawn and Lisa chaperoned me around on a few occasions including one mad dash to the airport because a waiter named Chris Copernicus had to tell us the story of how sweet tea really is the center of the universe and especially in hair salons that double as pastry shops. don’t.ask...really.
Heather eats cheese hamburgers and she is definitely all about the buns. Has anybody seen her hair?
Nester and Emily really are the cutest sisters you will ever meet in your life.
I also must say that Antique Mommy just isn’t that antique. She is such a fireball. She totally heated the place up with her last speaking evaluation. Can’t wait for her to post the details about that.
I am shorter than most every blogger I met at She Speaks and most of them told me so. The number one thing said about me at She Speaks was… “Gee, I thought you’d be taller.” Yes, they did.

My roomie… LauraLee, Lisa (who doesn’t have a blog yet) and myself in front of the amazing P31 banner.
Here is a pic of me and Lysa TerKeurst. She is just so many kinds of cute in person. We’re going to be doing some collaborating real soon. I can’t tell you what yet but you’ll love it. Yep, you will.
I have so much more to post about this amazing event including adventures I’ll be taking with some of my new found friends. I’ve never encountered such an amazing group of women before and I’m so glad that my pops in love saw to it that I could be there. Thanks Dad. I hope I make you proud!
More about She Speaks: She Finally Speaks

Hi sweetie, after your conference is over and life has slowed down a bit (ha), I hope you'll go over and read my 2 posts about She Speaks. You are mentioned in both of them. Thank you for being such a good friend and dear sister in Christ.
Don't you mean "Hiney Bone"
It was definitely…. interesting listing to Copernicus talk about his aspiration of opening a pastry/hair salon combo one day. I would totally be looking for "stray hairs" in my donuts but hey..that is just me. And that sweet tea was totally NOT sweet tea. Just sayin.
It was a true pleasure to actually meet you in person! I so look forward to what God has in store for both of us!

Hey girl… I thought you were absolutely cute with your shortness.;-) Most people are short next to me, though, so don't worry about it.
I can't wait to see all that's instore in the coming months for you and your ministry!
Oh, Amy… sounds like you had such a great time. I can't wait to read more about it all!
AH!!! I knew you'd have a blast!
I just wish I could've been there! BUT it was not to be this year!
I KNOW you are gonna be bringing us some delightful stuff….soon!
BUT you already DO bring the delightful…you bring YOU—with JESUS just overflowing!!!
Love you girl!
I agree with Tina – you are delightfully petite! You also saved my hide Saturday with setting up my session as a Webinar. I'm blessed to call you friend.
New here.
Following over from some of the other She Speaks summary posts.
Really hope to get to She Speaks some year from Ireland, and then there can be someone else small too!
Sounds like you had a great time.I went in 07 and was so blessed. Looking forward to reading more about your time at SheSpeaks.
Love the pictures and I thought you were taller, too:)
Loved knowing your heart better as we talked into the early hour of the morning, Amy. You blessed me beyond measure. I'm working on a post, but it might be next summer before I get it finished…I am supposed to take the time to Pause and Ponder, you know. (in my long flowing skirt, lol).
Hey Amy, it was great to meet you at She Speaks this weekend. What an amazing time – I am still reflecting myself (cute post title!) I wish you all the best with your projects. If you're ever in Nashville, let me know! Hugs, Allison @ Anointed With Grace
Wow, I cannot wait to see what happens in your life this next year or two. I'm so glad you got to go to She Speaks. You've certainly peaked my interest about it.
What a great weekend! It was so good sharing lunch and a ride to the airport with you! Hope ot be able to connect with you again soon.
Mari
So thrilled that you were there and now I have a face with that sweet heart for home schooling. I just want us all to get together and forget the conference now…let's just hang out. I should have gone to lunch. All I did was drive home. What was I thinking?
It was such a joy getting to meet you this weekend
I'm getting ready to write a post that will include the little story of us at the lunch before the airport ride. Oh, and so glad you didn't miss your flight or anything!!
I so look forward to talking with you more
You are the real deal and I'm so proud to call you a sister. And you are not short. You are delightfully petite!
It sounds wonderful. I'm looking forward to learning more about this.
Good one…It is always great to keep learning.
I'm so glad to read your account of SheSpeaks. I hope to go one day soon. I've met Lysa before as she was our keynote speaker one year. I got to be her hostess in Phoenix as she and Holly came to visit. What wonderful people they are; so real.
