There are many reasons why you might want to get your own domain. The first reasons that come to mind are personalization and professionalism. It also makes it easier for your readers to remember your URL and find you again, just in case they forgot to bookmark you.
When choosing a domain name remember to google the name first to be sure that no one else has a similar name. Try to be as unique as possible. It is easy to confuse URLs that are similar.
Google allows you to purchase your domain directly through them and it only costs $10 per year.

Log into your blogger account.

From your dashboard click on “settings”.

Next, click the “publishing” tab.

Under “Advanced Settings” it says, Need a domain? Buy one now” Click “Buy one now.”

This will now walk you through the process of purchasing your domain and in three to four days it will be active.
