Vroom, Vroom – Why I can’t leave the kids alone with the baby…

The other day when I was picking up clothes I walked out of the room for all of five minutes and left Ian in his bouncy chair. By all accounts he should have been fine. The dog was outside and the younger kids were in the garage playing. Gevan was on the sofa watching TV. He is 13. That should make him responsible, shouldn’t it?

Well, when mama walked out of the room, this child who is “too old” for cartoons began to “vroom vroom” his little brother around the house while he was in his bouncy seat. Ian just enjoyed the ride.

I walked out of the room and saw what was going on and I was a bit shocked for a second (you know how you are with your new babies and all) so I sort of yelled like, “what are you doing?” That is when he looked up at me and ran Ian into the wall.

mmm hmmm. Yes, he did.

He looks up and laughs. Then he gets all serious and says, “Uh oh! Time to call OnStar!”

Because he has experience with them and all.

Ian just smiled. I think he liked it. He quit smiling when I made Gevan stop. :(

It makes me a little sniffly to see them playing together like that. Brothers are the best and Ian is SO blessed!

Love it!
I have 6 boys & my youngest boy didn’t have a chance. Once they used Sam as a weight when they made giant scales in the game room. They found things that weighed as much as Sam & tried to balance the scales. UGH!!! A game they played was “see who can hold Sam above their head the longest before he drops drool in your eye.” He is almost 4 now & survived quite well.
