A couple of weeks ago I went through a makeover. Shari Braendel, author of Good Girls Don’t Have to Dress Bad, was one of the women who spoke at the A Woman Inspired Beauty and Wellness online conference and she really did transform my outlook on fashion. I’ll be blunt. For the most part, it isn’t a daunting task to think about dressing fashionably when you are a slim, petite woman. Jeans and a t-shirt can be fashionable on you with just a few cute accessories. That isn’t the case when you put on a few (or a few, few) extra pounds. When you gain weight you have to put some thought into your wardrobe. We are so tempted to wear black and over sized pieces of clothing to hide ourselves. Shari really changed my mind about this.
Shari shared some simple dos and don’ts and shared some trade secrets with us. I immediately went digging through my closet to find pieces that might work and I actually found some. I have a new wardrobe full of clothing and I didn’t spend a dime! All I did was use the techniques Shari teaches in this video. I’m all grown up now! Take a look and tell me what you think!
Oh… and go raid your closet – and your sisters closet – and participate in this weeks HOMEmaker’s Challenge!
