Homemaker's Challenge Who are you: Cupcake Edition

Welcome to the first edition of the Homemaker’s Challenge! If you would like to know more about this blog hop you can read this: Homemaker’s Challenge.

Next weeks challenge can be found here, What’s In Your Closet?: Fashion for Less Edition.

Every good challenge or competition starts with a creative meet and greet. Take something unlike you and make it reflect who you are. We are going to do that too: with cupcakes. Oh come on! You knew we had to start this way, didn’t you? :)

Your Homemaker’s Challenge is to create a cupcake, or your interpretation of it, that tells us about who you are. Get creative. Think of your hobbies, heritage, looks, tastes, or think outside the cupcake wrapper and make a cupcake out of something other than cake. It is totally up to you but we must get a glimpse of who you are through your cupcake.

Once you have put your cupcake together craft a post and tell us about it. Show us pictures or videos. Remember, part of the challenge is to embrace new things as homemakers as well as honing your blogging skills, and yes, we know you have mad skillz! Show us!

One random participant will receive Bakerella‘s new book: Cake Pops. What’s cuter than a cupcake? A cake pop, of course! Wildly popular blogger Bakerella (aka Angie Dudley) has turned cake pops into an international sensation! Cute little cakes on a stick from decorated balls to more ambitious shapes such as baby chicks, ice cream cones, and even cupcakes these adorable creations are the perfect alternative to cake at any party or get-together. Martha Stewart loved the cupcake pops so much she had Bakerella appear on her show to demonstrate making them. Now Angie makes it easy and fun to recreate these amazing treats right at home with clear step-by-step instructions and photos of more than 40 featured projects, as well as clever tips for presentation, decorating, dipping, coloring and melting chocolate, and much more.

The winner is: Desi from Crunchy Mommy!

Our guest “judges” (Amy Stults, Holly Smith, and our cupcake expert, Kristen Schiffman) will be picking some of their favorites to share on Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook. If you want a bit of constructive feedback about your post then just put at the bottom of your post, “encourage me judges!” and that will let our guest judges know that you are interested in constructive feedback. Otherwise, just take the challenge for the fun of it!
Are you ready?

Hi Amy, Ok, so you have the power! I have sworn in the past that I wouldn’t ever get a blog but your homemaker’s challenge has lured me in. However, I have no idea what I am doing! How do I “link up”? Pease help a very backward, very new blogger! Ruth

I have some interesting ingredients I think I’ll try. I have been watching chopped on the food channel. Can you guess what I am gonna use?
