This is part 3 in a 7 part series. You will find all printables/forms located at the bottom of this post. All printables are in .docx files and can be edited using Microsoft Word or the free open source software called Open Office. This set of printables is from the Simple Magnolia set. Other sets will be released in the coming weeks including the Textured Vintage, Frooty Fun, and Crafty Mama sets. For an index of all posts in this series visit this link: Life Management Notebook.
The next two sections are big on preparation and planning. Both of those things equal thousands of dollars saved every year.
Grocery Shopping, Recipes, and Menu Planning Section
I did not include printables for things like price comparison and coupons. There are so many smartphone apps for these that I find them unnecessary. I do have old templates I could revise if someone wants them. Just let me know in the comments.
Grocery List:
I have tried to improve upon my grocery list after years of use and hearing recommendations from others. First, I made the photos in grays scale so that they do not use too much ink. Second, I’ve italicized the items that experts recommend should be purchased “organic”. While I understand that some may disagree with one or the other, I’ve done much research and read many reports on what items to include. You can always add more or take away.
The box is to check it off once it is in your cart. I prefer this to scratching it out because it is easier to scan. The line immediately after the box is for quantity. If you need 2 jars of stewed tomatoes then write a “2″ on that line.
Weekly Menu:
Even though I have a place for a menu on my “personal assistant” printable, I always include a weekly menu (and use one) because it allows me the space I need to write down more details of my menu. The one on the “personal assistant” printable serves mostly as a reminder of what meats to take out that morning and it informs the rest of the family as to what we will be having for dinner.
I also keep each and every one of my weekly menus after I am done with it. I store them in a separate binder so that when I need inspiration or ideas for menus I can scan through these. I always note them first so that I know if I should have doubled the recipe, add more tomato, etc.
Recipes:
The recipes printable is used as a place to keep a record of the recipes that I would like to try.
Home Maintenance and HomeMaking Section
This section contains maintenance charts for the most popular tasks during certain months. I provided a quarterly chart as well as one for Summer, Spring, and Fall. I don’t currently have a homemaking printable that is exclusive to this section. Instead I use the “Master to-do List” printable too keep a record of homemaking tasks I would like to accomplish.
NOTE: Fonts used are Lainie Day and Courier New. Install them on your computer before downloading printables. Download the printables for sections 3 & 4:

When I click on the printables it won’t let me open anything, I was only able to open your cover sheet and emergency phone numbers, none of the others will come up.
Thank you so much for your ideas and printables! I have been looking for a home maintenance schedule and organization ideas like your binder! So excited
Thanks for the menu plan. I wanted a simple one that actually had room to type it. This is perfect, thank you!
