Would you like to be a part of an online small group (book club)? I want to create a community here. A community of women who love to read and discuss the books that are helping us to understand ourselves and His word better. I’d be thrilled if you would be a part of that with me. I’m hosting an online, live small group book club using software that will allow us to chat (via live video feed) and fellowship together. Check out this video to learn more:
(And in case you don’t want to watch the video the group will meet on Tuesdays beginning next week, October 4th, at 1pm CST)
Here is a screenshot of our software. For those who participate you will receive a link to log into our software. Just be sure to include your email in the link thingy at the very bottom of this post so I can send you further instructions.
The book we will be using is by Emily P. Freeman from Chatting at the Sky. It is called Grace for the Good Girl: Letting Go of the Try-Hard Life and it is good, girlfriend. I’ve read through most of the book and I feel free: free to be me. It is good to be able to breathe deep and realize that I am enough just the way I am. Emily’s words of wisdom stir up the spirit in a way I’ve never experienced before. I’ve felt bondage being lifted page after page. I didn’t even realize how much of a “good girl” I was trying to be. And it was draining the very core of my soul.
This book gave me the knowledge and opportunity to change me. Prior to this the only confidence I had was my confidence in appearing to be confident. Wild, I know. See what others had to say about the book:
If you’d like, you can get a copy of the first chapter here: Grace for the Good Girl Chapter 1
Let’s explore this transformation together. If you would like to participate then simply sign up below by posting the link to your “about me” page of your blog, a post about you from your blog, or your Facebook page:

Is it too late to join? I was out of town and just now read this. I don’t have a blog but I am on Facebook. Thank you!

Would like to participate. http://www.facebook.com/susie.daggett
I would love to participate in the small group activity, but I don’t have a blog. Will this pose an issue?
Thanks for doing this. It is so hard to participate in a small group with the little ones and trying to homeschool. Excited about joining in!
I just realized this morning how dreadfully out of date my About page is on my blog
But you know probably more than you need to know about me! Love that you are doing this and looking forward to getting a copy and starting the study
Thanks Amy!!! So excited!!!
I’ve been reading the book already, but I think it would be wonderful to go through it with some other ladies. How long are you planning to have the sessions on Tuesdays? I’ll just plan for the boys to have something to work on during that time. Maybe I’ll eat lunch during our study. But maybe not on webcam. Ha! Ha!
I’m incredibly excited about the on-line group you fell called to lead, Amy! I’m ready to go!

Ooh, ooh, me, me! I wanna do it! I love, love, love this idea of a small group study where we really truly connect with eachother. My regular women’s Bible study at church is no longer offering childcare because of budget constraints and I have been looking and looking for something else that I could be involved with. This is such a great idea because it’s a book that I definitely need and want to read. And, I am honestly looking to connect with more women in the blogosphere-real, true women, who are searching His heart and want to grow.
One question, if I’m not able to “show up” on every Tuesday, will I still be able to somehow participate?
