Blog Conference Attendee Planning Printable / How to Represent Your Brand

Day 5

I will be going to the Relevant Conference in just a couple of weeks (eeeeeeee, is it really here finally?!!) and I have had so much fun getting prepared for it. I’ve been clothes shopping, bought some new boots, had blog buttons made, chosen the workshops I’d like to attend and I’ve been thinking about what meet-ups I’d like to be a part of. And because it is no fun to have fun all by yourself, I thought I’d share some of the things I created specifically related to blog conferences with you.

First, I made a blog conference planner. You knew I had to have one of those to go along with my other free planner printables, didn’t you? With the help of this planner you can prepare for your blog conference in no time and have a check off list to keep you on track. I’ve included a list of what to bring, a place to list the goals you want to accomplish, a section to jot down the workshops you want to attend and you must get your bloggy friends’ info ahead of time so you can text or call them when you arrive so that you all can meet up! I’ve tried to think of everything but if I left something off it’s not biggie. You can just add it yourself because these printables are completely customizable.

I am also including the base graphic I used to create my blog brand button. You are free to use it as a guide but the website of the company that I used to create and produce it has an excellent tutorial that will walk you through the process of creating your own button. I am not an affiliate or paid sponsor so this link and recommendation is organic: Wacky Buttons. I designed my button using my blog’s graphics and it took less than 10 minutes. I made the 3 inch size button, bought 3 of them and spent about $7. They ship fast too. I had my order in less than a week.

Suggestions for creating your button:

  • Don’t center everything. Let some elements hang off of the button. It creates visual interest and is natural looking.
  • Be sure to use graphics that you have used to brand your blog. For me that was my silhouette family. No matter what blog design I go with that graphic is always present. I even added our newest little guy in his daddy’s arms. I guess I should also update it to show that two of my boys are now taller than their mama. *sigh*
  • Be sure to include both the name of your blog and your name unless the name of your blog is your name. Ha! Like me.

This is the image I created and uploaded to the site so that my button could be created. It allows you to see how I let elements fall off of the sides of the button.

Will you be at Relevant? Any other conferences that are coming up?

All printables are in .doc files and can be edited using Microsoft Word or the free open source software called Open Office.

NOTE: Fonts used are Lainie Day and Courier New. Install them on your computer before downloading printables.

  2. You know I’ll be there roomie 🙂 but I have not even thought about it past getting my plane ticket. Maybe I’ll just follow you around like a lost little puppy 😀

  3. You are way too clever. I’ll be seeing that button *in person*!! Woot!

  4. How exciting! I’ll be there – warning: I am a hugger!

  5. Thank so much! Downloaded the weekly planner. I like that it has the weekly and daily list on one page. I have 0 graphic design skills so this is super helpful. 🙂

  6. Amy what a great blog you have! Everyone can use some printables! The book marks would be a fun little thing to put a cute tassel on and give away at a girls night or book club gathering. I’m kicking up my heels at Soles of a Mom{dot}com doing 31 days of Living Solefully! I’ll be checking back for more ideas! Deana

  7. I love these, Amy! Wonderful stuff. And I’m doing 31 Days of Encouragement at my blog. 😉

  8. This is so much fun – thanks for helping a fellow list-lover feel better prepared for her first conference! See you at Relevant!

  9. I LOVE this! Thanks so much for your sharing your beautiful talent. I’m so excited about my first bloggy conference and these will be great for it!
