Books Galore: Printable Labels and Bookmarks

Day 3

In the spirit of book reviews and “book club” small groups that meet online, today I am keeping it simple and offering printables of bookmarks and labels.

I’m a bit of a book hoarder myself. I have hundreds of them. I am always reading 4-5 at a time. I keep one by the bed, one by the sofa, one in my purse and one in the bathroom so that I can read while soaking in a tub full of bubbles. Unfortunately, a couple of times I have left a book behind at a doctor’s office or other location. And although I usually have no problem recovering my prized possession once I did have someone claim a book as their own. I found out when I returned to the doctor’s office. 🙁

These labels are handy for situations like that and also good to use if you loan out lots of books. The bookmarks are just handy.

BONUS: If you ever do decide to donate your books to a library or other organization, you can always make new labels that say, “Donated to Organization Name by Family Name” then place that label directly over the other one. It works like a charm!

All printables are in .doc files and can be edited using Microsoft Word or the free open source software called Open Office. To customize them you only need to find the text box, type in the text you want, change the font to how you want it and save. After you customize them to suit your needs print the labels out on a mailing label sheet and print the bookmarks out on cardstock. You can laminate the bookmarks for added stability.

  1. I really love this!!! I love books and this post really encourage me. Thank you, Amy.

  2. what a lovely calm but steadfast spirit you have and your site exudes that. 31 days of printables so original… so I popped in to ask if you design buttons for blogs… I have a blog within the vine at wordpress, I enjoy writing for it so much. I am hopeless at the techi stuff… but would love a button on my site for others to use on theirs. My readership is very small so the need is not urgent… just hoping lol… I am certain your 31 days challenge will lead to abundant blessings (for all of you) x x Denise

  3. I love the “this book belongs to” label. I always want to order those labels from some fancy catalog but never do b/c I don’t want to spend the money. 😉 Thank you!

  4. I have used printable bookmarks for years to give away during jail and prison ministry. I put scriptures and a short prayer concerning sleep on them to give away to inmates because it is not easy to sleep incarcerated, or at least, to sleep well. Anyone doing jail or prison ministry might include such a bookmark as a giveaway.

  5. I sooo love your 31 days topic! I have no skill to make free printables, or that would have been my topic as well! I’m linked up with all of the wonderful 31 dayers as well…I’m writing 31 days of Active Waiting…I’m relatively new to the blog world, so I’d love if you stop by and take a look! Your blog is so beautiful – blessings to you! And thanks so much for the bookmarks – I too am an avid reader…I LOVE the free printables with quotes as well – day 1 was just beautiful! Have a great day!

  6. Oh you are so my printable hero! I LOVE the bookmarks – and will be printing out a boatload tomorrow. I’m always reading several books at one time, too, so they are great! And the book labels are so pretty! I already changed them to my name so I can print them, too. Love them. You are so creative and awesome – thanks for sharing your awesomeness with us!!!

Enjoy this blog? Please spread the word :)
