Reward Kids for Good Behavior: Positive Reinforcement

Day 27

When the boys were younger (the oldest three anyway) we used to reward them for good behavior with paper money. This paper money was good for purchasing things that they wanted like extra game time, snacks, or toys we had in our mom/pop store. The mom/pop store consisted of things we’d found for very little money but that they boys would like to have. Think clearance aisle at your favorite store.

We carried “mom money” and “dad dollars” with us and when the boys did something we thought earned them a reward then they got some paper cash. It taught them a lot about behavior and budgeting. I hope you find it fun and useful too!
