Unoccupied, Swept Clean, and Put in Order – Yeah, that’s me sometimes.

I’ve been studying the bible a lot lately. Blogging breaks are good for that. I’ve also been praying for guidance as to how, when, and exactly what book I should publish next and what content I should post. I know what I feel God is speaking to me but I had to have greater details. I guess I am just at a point in my life where I only want to go for the eternal things. The earthly stuff just doesn’t fulfill me like it used to.

It’s funny how the kingdom works. As soon as you come to the end of yourself and your own ideas you find His.

My contemplation for months has been how to teach three different parts of home cleaning. I’m passionate about all of them but, I don’t think one can work without the other and there is a foundation for all. Then He showed me.

Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Matthew 12:44

It was right there the whole time.

Unoccupied refers to the spiritual state of the home, swept clean refers to the physical state, and put in order refers to the order of the home (likened to our “mind, will, and emotions”). The spiritual state is the foundation but it works hand in hand with the other two. Just like us. We are made up of three parts that work cohesively to give us an abundant, joy-filled life.

So that is what I am doing and where I am headed with my next books. For me, I can preach natural cleaning all day long but it doesn’t sit well with me to not talk about the spiritual aspect of it. Or the order that must follow. In my opinion it is the only way to have a home that is truly clean.

Do you want to hear more about it?
